This is an emergency and needs to be reversed with hyaluronidase, you need hyperbaric oxygen treatments, topical nitroglycerine paste and oral aspirin/viagra, along with warm compresses.  Please see an expert.  Best, Dr. Emer.

This is an EMERGENCY as your photos suggest vascular occlusion and imminent skin necrosis. I think you have been misdiagnosed. I would see an expert as soon as possible. While late, it is still appropriate to inject hyaluronidase to try and minimize the damage. 

Yes, no question, this is an extreme emergency that needs immediate attention. You need hyaluronidase, aspirin, nitropaste, and probably hyperbaric oxygen. When you get a reticular vascular pattern outside of the area treated with discomfort, it is no doubt vascular occlusion. Please see someone soon. Don't wait. 100's of units of Hylenex are needed but best outcomes are when this is treated within minutes, not days. I don't think you've been diagnosed correctly. I don't think they lied, but just inexperiened with this problem. I would go to a different office for follow up. 

Thank you for your question.  I cannot render an opinion without examining you myself in person, but the serial photos you have sent are certainly suggestive of a combination of filler swelling and perhaps some arterial tamponade/blockage as well.  The net like appearance of your right cheek and upper lip may point to an artery that isn't feeding the skin properly.  I would urge you to see another physician locally and quickly to get this assessed.  

The doctor is correct the artery was either compressed from a mix of swelling and product compression or the filler occluding the artery at the time of injection. In that case the area would have become very pale almost white at the time you were leaving and darkened becoming more painful as time went on.
In the earliest hours you could have reversed the filler but I see you are at least a week out now and reversal is still an option but late. In all likelihood some of the skin will break down before healing begins. If possible look into hyperbaric oxygen therapy to help bring oxygen to the tissues again. 
The fortunate part is the face is very vascular and most often these problems resolve with limited adverse outcomes. 

The photos you have provided definitely show localized trauma and swelling far worse than what I have seen injecting the lips over the last 10 years. Your doctor may have hit an artery when injecting, but in general looks unusual. I would consider light icing to minimize inflammation and even consider a Steroid pack. At this point, you should follow up with a physician to ensure appropriate healing.
