16 days post op, and nose looks ok but nothing like computer projected "after", is it just swelling? (photos)

Your instinct about it being too early is correct. I typically advise my rhinoplasty patients that on average they'll be about 60% toward their final result by six weeks, 85%-90% by three months, and "fully" healed by about a year. Thicker skin tends to take longer and the tip is the very last part to heal completely. So in short, it's too early to make any judgment about your nose's final appearance. I echo the sentiments of the other surgeons. Your nose looks fantastic for only being 16 days out. I would wait at least 3-6 months before forming an opinion, because there will definitely be a difference then compared to the photo posted today. The swelling can take months to subside on rhinoplasty patients. I would not recommend re-operating for a year after rhinoplasty. I think within 6 months, you'll love your result. I know it is easier said than done, but patience is key in the post-operative period. Hang in there, and keep us posted!

You really need to exercise patience with the nose.  It is very early to make any determination about your swelling.  It will be months or even a year before the swelling completely goes down.  Hopefully you have follow up appointments scheduled with your surgeon to discuss any questions or concerns you have.  Be well!

16 days after rhinoplasty is way too early to make any determinations.  There will be swelling for months, but a lot of it will resolve in the first month or so.I always counsel my patients that final results take a year, so hang in there!  If you have specific concerns, see your rhinoplasty surgeon for an evaluation and reassurance.  Enjoy your new nose!
