I got an upper lip lift 9th of January 2017, I'll remove the stitches in a few days, but I'm concerned about the healing and what is going on with the scar. Would appreciate any comment about the picture I upload.

Hello, you seem to be doing ok but if you had a lip lift on the 9th, you should have had the stitches out after about a week.  Lip lifts are a wonderful procedure to rejuvinate the face.  I don't understand the tape on your nose, but expect great results. If anything isn't perfect, it should be readily adjustable.

Thank you for your question! I would recommend seeing your surgeon as they will evaluate the best time to remove sutures.  I personally like to remove them a little sooner, but then again, I also use different sutures under the skin that allow me to do that in order to reduce the scarring as much as possible.  That being said, your doc knows exactly what the best regimen is with his particular technique.  Check in with them to ensure all is going well.  Best of luck!

Thank you for your question.  The portions of the incision that are visible seem to be healing appropriately.  Some mild redness around the incision is normal 10 days after surgery.  There are dried crusts on some areas of the incision, so it is not possible to say from the photograph what is happening underneath them.  If you have any concerns, please check in with your surgeon for a full evaluation.  It may be reassuring to you to have the incision cleaned and examined by your physician.

Thank you for the question and photos.  I do not see wound separation or an infection so the incisions area healing well from that standpoint from what I can see.  Each surgeon has his or her own way of doing things so the time for suture removal may be based on that.  If you had internal sutures as well the outer sutures would have been removed at 4-5 days after surgery based on my preferences.  Good luck with the remainder of your healing.Dr. Remus Repta
