Will fat transfer to bottom of breasts lift enough to position nipples in more upward direction? (Photo)

Question

I'm 48 and recently had implants removed because my breasts were sagging while implants were still in place. I also had a lift done and was told the tissue would drop and lift the breasts to a great position. It's been 3 months and it never happened. PS said it is because of scar tissue. He wants to do fat transfer to lift them to where they will look good. Would like some opinions and thoughts on this. Thanks!

It would be to your benefit to wait few more months (3-6). In the meantime, the lower pole of the breast will stretch and become more convex  and full. Although position of your nipples will not change, it may create impression that nipples are riding higher on your breasts.  When scars (inside and outside) are more mature and softer and blood supply has returned to the breast you should discussed lift revision with your plastic surgeon. It is not likely that fat grafting of the lover pole will do anything to lift nipples.A little patience will benefit you. Good luck.

HelloAlthough fat grafts could possibly have some utility, I feel a revision lift will be required to more predictably elevate the nipple/areolar position. Best to review all options in detail with your plastic surgeon. Best wishes.

I do not think that fat transfer to your inferior pole would add enough volume to correct your nipple position and flattened appearance. You need to wait several more months to let the tissues completely soften up, and then the breast lift needs to be revised.  Depending on the technique utilized, this may not be so easy if you are severely deficient of tissue underneath, but your nipples are lower than ideal and would benefit from being raised.

No, fat transfer alone will not lift up the nipple position.I would recommend some form of breast lift/mastopexy procedure.
