After having a Banana roll removed there is little difference between my hamstring and glut. Did I need to have contouring done?

Told Dr. how I had a lil roll sometimes under my glutes, more right than left. Called it banana roll & said yes he can get rid of it. Now I read what can happen if that's done. Do feel like my left glut just kinda runs down into my leg now without a lot of diff between hamstring n glut, or is this because he didn't contour the area after hitting the mid outside glut to match left. I'm not looking forward to a redo n gym time off again when healed. I know diff between swell n meat left there.

Reducing your banana rolls, posterior upper thigh excess fat, if done properly and conservatively should give you improvement without making your buttocks drop.

Basically the area below the gluteal crease on the back of the leg provides support for the buttock above and thus it should not be suctioned or else a contour deformity can occur. It is exceedingly difficult to fix as well. The reason this area bulges ("bannana roll") is usually due to weight gain in the buttock above which in turn pushes down causing the bulge. The best results for this issue are not surgical and are best obtained by reaching ideal body weight. This would be the best option as well to get an improvement in this area now, even after surgery, as less subcutaneous fat would likely be better in terms of getting a better contour.

Dear Eastside, it is difficult to tell without pre-and postoperative photographs. I am not sure of the time interval since your surgery. I would give at least 8 to 12 weeks before looking at the area critically in terms of contour and shape. I would certainly discuss my concerns with the plastic surgeon who performed my procedure.
