Had traditional lipo on my outer thighs with feathering across the front of my legs about 6 months ago. Left with lots of new dimpling, cellulite and less shapely/curvy silhouette. Also have discoloration on both thighs. What do you think caused it? Is corrective surgery now the answer? If so, what kind? Laser lipo, traditional liposuction, or fat transfer? What about for discoloration?
Answer: Unacceptable Liposuction Results Hello,Although your results would be considered average, it wasn't because you had traditional liposuction, or you should have had some high tech alternative like laser liposuction. The technical ease of performing liposuction has allowed poorly trained surgeons to come into the market, usually with inexpensive fees. However, getting a good or great result with liposuction is a difficult task, and it is dependent on the skill and expertise of the surgeon.Your remedy is not a high tech device either. The issues associated with post liposuction contour deformities are always a combination of scar tissue, skin laxity, and irregular resection of the fat (too much/too little). Except for skin laxity, these issues can be addressed with revision liposuction that targets scar tissue, resection of residual fat, and fat grafting in over-resected areas. If you have discoloration, it probably wont be improved with revision surgery, and would likely be worsened by heat generating devices like laser and ultrasound assisted liposuction.Best of luck!

Answer: Liposuction can generate unwanted aesthetic side effects. There is no good way to shrink skin in this includes laser is an ultrasound. When the volume of fat is removed the skin needs to contract to accommodate the new smaller volume. When this does not happen contour irregularities can ensue.

Answer: Liposuction of Legs Thank you for your pictures. I'm sorry that you're having an undesirable outcome. Unfortunately this will be done to help this issue. Little suction of the front of the legs should know to be done. It reduces the supportive legs and makes the skin being creepy. I wish I can offer you more but they're not an easy solution to this other then to never have it done.Earl Stephenson, Jr, MD, DDS, FACS

But saying that does not help you NOW. My first suggestion is to try a Resolution Solution skin system for irregularities and cellulite. If you pm me I can help you obtain this at home system that I find helps improve your issues. Regards

Answer: Shape Thank you for the photos though a full examination is really needed. That said liposuction of any type does not specifically tighten the skin and can make préexisting cellulae look worse. There are treatments that are less invasive that may helpand you also might have benefited from medial thigh liposuction to further sculpt your thighsDr Corbin
