I just got lip fillers(juvederm) for the first time and my mouth/lips is still numb, I do not like them at all right now they look duckish, too big and not natural. How long does swelling take to go down for juvederm filler?
Answer: First time lip fillers, help. Will this go down more in the next couple of days? Thank you for your question and for sharing your photos. Swelling and bruising are normal after filler injections. Please keep in mind that it will take 2 weeks to allow post procedural swelling and bruising to resolve and to see your final result. Icing is beneficial for up to 24 hours after the procedure. Arnica ( Arnika Forte is absolutely Great) is also helpful for minimizing normal post procedure swelling and bruising if you start taking it 2-3 days before the injection and continue for 3 days after the procedure alone with pineapple juice. Hope this helps and best wishes!

Answer: First time lip fillers, help. Will this go down more in the next couple of days? Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. I am sorry to hear that your current results are not what you anticipated, but rest assured these symptoms will get better over the next 10 days. It often takes up to 2 weeks for fillers to soften and the tissues to appear more natural. In the meantime try reducing the swelling by using cold compresses to your lips and elevating your head at night with a couple of extra pillows behind your back. You may want to also consider using Arnica Montana and bromelain as supplements. Hang in there!

Answer: First time lip fillers, help. Will this go down more in the next couple of days? Hi Laura. Congratulations on trying dermal fillers! You look normal, but swollen. Your lips probably feel numb because the products have lidocaine which numbs the lips, but makes the injection much more comfortable. Your swelling will go down. See my video below for things you can do to reduce swelling faster. Always make an appointment with your injector for 2 to 3 weeks after your injection to address any concerns. Best wishes, Dr. ALDO :)

Answer: Lip Fillers As with all skin injection procedures, there is always a risk of bruising and swelling that can occur. These temporary side effects generally resolve themselves within one to two weeks. An ice pack can be applied gently to the site to help your swelling. I would suggest following up with your board certified plastic surgeon two weeks following your injectable treatment.

Answer: Swelling is completely normal soon after lip injections and should diminish over the next few days. Don’t worry—the swelling that you’re experiencing seems to be a normal side effect that many people see in the first few days after lip injections. You should start to see these symptoms gradually diminishing on their own within the next week to ten days. If you’re still unhappy with your results once all swelling has gone down, you can talk with your plastic surgeon’s office about having the JUVÉDERM® dissolved and returning your lips to their normal appearance. At this point, though, I wouldn’t worry.
