What's wrong with my lips after lip fillers?

Hello, I've had lip fillers 10 days ago. I'm guessing those are my final results now... I am no expert but I can tell they don't look right... can anyone explain what has the doctor done wrong because I tried explaining and she seems to think it's nothing wrong with my lips? She my lips look like this because they were slighly assimetrical before.. surely this is a reason you have fillers? So the doctor can correct that assimetry. The filler is Juvaderm and she used 1 ml. Thank you!

It looks like you had too much put into the vermillion border or lip line.  This has made the underside of the lip swollen and pale.  You will have to get this removed with an injection of enzyme.Some patients like to get some HA into the vermillion - but others don't.  It will accentuate the shape of the lip.  But you have too much there.

At this point, you can still have swelling, which can last 1-2 weeks after injections. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. Filler choice matters to, your begining filler should have been as mooth filler like silk or volbella for a more beautiufl outome.  See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

The swelling can last up to two weeks, so I would give it a little more time to see if they go down. From the photos, it looks like your top lip may have been overfilled, especially on the vermilion border. I would give it more time and if you are still unhappy with your results, I would return to your injector to have the filler dissolved with hyaluronidase.

It looks like an unequal amount was placed in the border of the lip, compared to the rest.  This makes you look as though you have a "boundary" at the mid-point of the lip.
Overall, the shape of the lip looks good, and there is a chance that the filler will "settle" to some degree but there is always the option to dissolve the filler if you are unhappy with the result.

Swelling is not uncommon. Injections may cause lumpiness that can be either palpable or visible. Following up with your doctor and discussing your concerns with them is the best course. Results can be reversed with hyaluronidase.
