Is it possible to get a genioplasty and mandibular implants together?

I was looking to get a genioplasty because of the height of my chin and I also wanted to get a mandibular implant to fix asymmetry as one side of my face is flatter than the other. Can I get the two in the same sitting?

Yes you can have these procedures done together. That being said, you also have the option to contour down the jaw bone on one side to fix asymmetry as well, in case you did not want to go wider with implants. It all depends on your facial structure, but it is harder to give you a better answer without any reference photos. I recommend that you have the vertical lengthening genioplasty and allow the asymmetry to be fixed simultaneously. However, an implant placed through an intraoral incision has a higher risk of infection. I usually perform the genioplasty first and then place the implant through an extraoral incision several months later.
