I have actually done a BBL on patient who had a hip replacement at a young age- she did really well! Seek out a board certified plastic surgeon who performs larger volume BBL surgery regularly and get a "in person" consultation. Makes sure they are working with a PAL (power assisted lipo) device during the BBL and are comfortable with your situation. Best Wishes!!
hello thank you for your question and provided information as well.. based in your question and the picture you showed if you had hip implant not take a risk , just you can apply full liposuction , just the surgeon be careful with the implant
Thanks for your question. If you had a hip replacement you're not at greater risk. If you had a cosmetic hip implant you're still not at greater risk, but the surgeon has to make sure the implant is not traumatized during fat grafting to the hips. Please always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon.Take care,Moises Salama M.D., Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

This risk is quite small. We recommend prophylactic antibiotics before, during, and after surgery in this situation. However, it may be wise to consider reevaluation by your orthopedic surgeon to ensure all has healed well before proceeding with the BBL.Best wishes...
