I was kneed on my nose when I was 12 years old. I’ve always noticed in pictures that my nose was bigger on one side. But just recently it’s been harder to breath from that side.

Based on your photos, you appear to have a crooked nasal appearance. Your photographs are inadequate to determine if you have a deviated septum. You would benefit from a rhinoplasty and possible a septoplasty. This takes 2 hours to perform under general anesthesia and costs $8,000.

the only way one can tell if you have a deviated septum is by looking inside your nose, so photos on the outside are not goingt o be helpful enough.

Hello and thank you for your question. An intranasal speculum evaluation will be the best way to determine if you have a deviated septum. Your breathing can likely be improved with surgery. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

It could be likely that you have a deviated septum from the incident you had as a child. However, in order to evaluate and give you an accurate and appropriate diagnosis and evaluation it would be best to have a face to face consultation with a certified ENT.
