Breathing has worsened overtime on my right side. Deviated septum? (photo)

Hello, I’m a Female 24 yrs old, I noticed my breathing has worsened overtime on my right side. Is it possible to tell from these X-rays to see if there’s a deviation or if it’s related to my turbinates? I plan on getting examined in person

Hi, the panorex is a great tomogram for the dental arch, but it is very poor for seeing/evaulating the inner workings of the nose. I would recommend seeing an ENT or ENT/plastic surgeon in the area to have him look inside your nose and evaluate you for treatment/correction of any breathing difficulties you have. Please keep in mind- you don't ask a barber if you need a haircut. Pick you doctor based off the volume/ types of procedures and treatments that he offers. An ENT office that offers allergy and non medical ways of treating turbinates/septums as well as surgery is much more likely to offer you comprehensive approaches to your problems. If you go to someone that only does surgery- they will offer you surgery. If you go to an office than only gives medicine or allergy shots you will never be offered surgery. OPS

A Panorex x-ray like you've shown in the photograph is inadequate in order to make a determination about what's going on on the inside of your nose. Those x-rays are performed for your teeth, not your nose. A thorough in-person examination is going to be required to make a determination for medical necessity regarding your nasal obstruction, which could include a deviated septum, turbinate hypertrophy, and valve collapse.
