Went in for botox and tear trough consult. Was told 60 units of botox "to start" Was told I needed 2 syringes of filler in my cheeks in order to do the tear trough area another 2 syringes in tear trough... they tried to say sunken eyes was due to volume loss in cheeks and eyes( i was born with sunken eyes my 7 year old has them also doubtful my 7 year old has volume loss)also wanted my lips a little bigger since they are already decent sized....told I needed 3 syringes of juvederm for my lips.

It is very common to use two syringes for the cheeks and under the eyes. 3 syringes for the lips sounds a bit high but the doctor may be planning to use it around the mouth as well. It is very important to feel comfortable with your doctor and the treatments you are recieving. You can always start with less, evaluate and then add more. Make sure to ask them all your questions as well so that you have a very clear understanding of their goal. This will ensure that you are on the same page with this treatment and maintenance. I like to start with 1 syringe of filler for the lips, 1 per side for tear troughs and 1-2 syringes of filler per cheek and then assess the results at 2 weeks. It is then you can have more filler or Botox injected if you desire. It is best to start with smaller doses and add more if necessary.
