Can I get a TT and J pouch surgery?

Finding a surgeon specialized in both plastic surgery and colorectal surgery would be impossible.  Though you might be able to schedule both surgeries back to back by different surgeons, doing so would not be wise.  Consult with a colorectal surgeon to determine if a J pouch surgery is likely. If not, schedule the TT.

If your question is can you get an tummy tuck at the same time as a J-Pouch? Then I would think you would be hard pressed to find a plastic surgeon (and colorectal surgeon) to do that at the same time.  Too many variables for complications.  
But if you're just planning ahead, and thinking about doing a tummy tuck now, then there shouldn't be any contraindications to do that now and then undergo a J-pouch in the future.  Don't be too concerned about the diastasis repair and any subsequent surgery to enter the abdomen.  If the colorectal surgeon does plan on laparoscopic, then typically the laparoscopic ports will enter through the actual rectus muscle (which won't injure it) or through midline between the rectus muscles.  These port holes are small and usually only need one or two sutures to close them.  If your colorectal surgeon plans on an open procedure, then after going through your abdominoplasty incision, to enter the abdomen, they would go through the midline between your rectus muscle (essentially where the diastasis repair was done), but at that time, it would likely have scar tissue; and again, wouldn't cause you any issues once this is closed up again. 
Something that you may also have to consider is if your colorectal surgeon will plan on a diverting temporary ileostomy which will divert stool away from your newly created J-pouch.  Obviously that would leave another scar on your abdomen once this is reversed.
I think you may want to talk to your colorectal surgeon and ask them about their opinion about getting a tummy tuck and any proposed incisions for a future colectomy and J-pouch.

Hi, and thanks for your question. Having stable UC should not prevent you from getting a tummy tuck. If you were to need a colectomy/J-pouch in the future, a GI surgeon could perform this operation safely.  
Any future abdominal surgery will involve its own risks. A future laparoscopic abdominal surgery will involve some cutting through of the abdominal muscles - this could increase your risk of a hernia or recurrence of diastasis, but I don't think the risk of "ruining" your new abdomen is super high

A J or W pouch after colectomy is a complicated procedure that has its own significant complications. Abdominoplasty at the same time would be too risky to do together, in my opinion. I would recommend doing a Pouch procedure and make sure things are going well over a minimum of 6 months before moving forward with a TT. If you do not need a pouch yet, I do believe you could move forward with a TT now without compromising the opportunity to have a pouch later.

Ulcerative colitis is not a contraindication for tummy tuck surgery.  Even if you need further bowel surgery, this can be performed successfully after a tummy tuck.  There are many variables involved in this type of procedure.  Please consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who performs body contouring procedures frequently to assure the best possible result.Good Luck!

Hello and thanks for your question. I am sorry you are dealing with UC and glad you have a surgical solution on the horizon. It would be my advice to not proceed with body contouring until you have any functional surgical concerns with your abdomen addressed. Obviously there is no way to know if there would be a need for further surgery to address your UC after you had your tummy tuck. It is my opinion that most surgeons would be hesitant to coordinate GI surgery with an elective tummy tuck but this is a question you could address when you get to consultation for both procedures.
