I read that the handpieces are too large to be used on cheeks and smaller handpieces might be developed in the future in the QA section 3 years ago. So are there smaller handpieces available for cheek fat at this time? If not, would you please recommend a non-surgical procedure to reduce cheek fat conservatively. Thanks!
Answer: #CoolSculpting for face Although we now have applicators for reducing fat in the abdomen, inner thighs, bra and muffin tops, banana rolls, upper arms, and even #saddlebags, there is no applicator for the face.It is unlikely that this applicator will be developed for several reasons. Fat naturally decreases in the face with age, and any deficit created when young will not naturally replensih with time. Any ridging at the borders of treatment, however subtle, would be aesthetically unacceptable. Facial skin is tight and would be difficult to take up into an applicator, and vital nerves are close to the surface and not easy to work around. It is possible that an appropriate candidate might be treated with the deoxycholine injectable now in phase IV trials.

CONTACT NOW Answer: Too Much Volume? CoolSculpting is an effective and safe treatment for the abdomen, hips, inner and outer thighs as well as some other areas. There is not a hand piece for the cheeks and I am skeptical about whether or not one will be developed. Most people want more volume in their cheeks and purchase filler or even undergo surgery to achieve this youthful look. As we age, our facial volume depletes and we often start looking sunken and droopy. Volume in the cheeks is a symbol of youth. The face also does not have as thick of layers of fat as the rest of the body so there is an increased possibility of "ridging" type look. Additionally, CoolSculpting works best on adipose tissue that is soft as opposed to adipose tissue that is firm. Comparatively speaking, the adipose tissue on the face tends to be firm making it difficult to treat effectively.

Answer: No facial Coolsculpting applicators Hi. We're all interested in facial applicators for the CoolSculpting machine. Apparently, they are under development. So far, there is no way to treat this area with cryolipolysis - all the applicators are too large. However, you could look at other technologies, such as RF (radio-frequency).

Answer: CoolSculpting is excellent for body fat reduction, not the face! CoolSculpting is FDA approved for the treatment of fat on the body: notably trunk and thighs. Facial fat reduction with the cryolipolysis technology (freezing fat to permanently reduce it by 20-30%) is not appropriate for the face at this time. Possibly in the future and the most likely target would be the double chin.

Answer: Coolsculpting not safe for, or approved for facial use Hi there-While Coolsculpting is a great tool and I have a great deal of confidence in its safety and effectiveness for reducing unwanted subcutaneous fat, I always tell my own patients that it is important to also be mindful of its limitations. There is no safe and effective way to use the Coolsculpting technology on the facial soft tissues at the present time.

Answer: Can CoolSculpting hand piece be used on cheeks now? Thank you for your question. No, there is no CoolSculpting hand piece that would work for facial fat. We use a radio frequency treatment called Exilis Elite to help eliminate facial fat and tone the skin. This is an office procedure that typically takes about 2-3 treatments spaced about 1-2 weeks apart. It takes a few weeks to several months to realize the full result. You want to be careful about removing too much facial fat. A big concern with facial aging is due to loss of facial fat! That is why so many doctors offer facial fillers and fat injections to help restore a more youthful look to the face. That said, too much fullness of the face and neck can be improved with Exilis Elite. I hope this helps. Good luck to you.
