I have the worst aged looking hands on the planet. I'm only 27 years old but my hands looks like a creepy. I noticed my hands were aging when I was about 21 yrs old. They are very wrinkled, dry and dark. There is also a line where the darkness and wrinkles start. I've tried every thing from suncreen to oils, gloves at night, lactic acid peel, oils again, collegen pills, creams, moisturizers I MEAN EVERYTHING. What's is this? Is there any type of cosmetic surgery I can get? Was I cursed as a kid
Answer: Build collagen with Morpheus Thanks for your question and the photos your provided. You need to have redundant, looser skin around joints so you can bend your wrist and move your fingers. Your skin appears within normal limits. Around the age of 30 we stop producing collagen naturally, so at that time I you may consider microneedling like Morpheus to build collagen/elastin in your skin. Make sure you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon at that time, good luck!

Answer: Hand Rejuvenation Thank you for your question and submitting your photos. There are two main goals for hand rejuvenation - improve the texture and quality of skin and secondly to replace lost volume. Sometimes these are separate and sometimes both goals need to be addressed. I generally start with a series of fractionated carbon dioxide laser treatments to improve the texture, skin tone, and quality of skin. If additional volume is required after the laser series, then I find it reasonable to talk about using filler to address the volume loss. The video shows how quick and easy the laser treatments using the Swift Hand Scanner can be. Best wishes on obtaining a great result!

Answer: Hand Rejuvenation -- Fat Injections/PRP, Radiesse/Belotero, Fraxel You have a few options. Hands can be improved with fillers very easily, and I love combining this with fraxel laser to tighten and improve texture. Belotero and Radiesse give natural looking results. More permanently you can have fat injected and/or even sclerotherapy of the hand veins. I suggest seeing a cosmetic dermatologist with expertise in hand rejuvenation to go over the recommended timeline. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Dark, old hands Thank you for your question. Hand rejuvenation has gained in popularity over the past several years. The hand age in a similar process to the face, or other parts of the body. Your main complaint seems to be one of skin texture and coloration. I would look into any potential allergen that you may come in contact with that could be contributing to the dryness. Many components of our daily life contain pigments, fragrances, or dyes that can cause a skin reaction including any products that may contain latex. Avoiding these exposures may be a good first step. I would start with a topical regimen that is retinol based with a good quality moisturizer. I really like the ZO products, and recommend them. You can consider injection with a filler such as Radiesse, but volume loss should not be the main issue in someone your age. Best of luck!
