I wanted to know if it looks infected. My doctor said to let it drain itself and just to apply a cream he gave me so I won't get an infection, but every time I put a gauze it sticks. When I have to remove it to clean it, I start draining and blood comes out, just a little spitting. How is it supposed to dry if it keeps draining small amounts?

Answer: BA incision Dear acabtu09, it is hard to tell for sure, but based on your photos, it looks like you have small wound separation and your wound is draining. This type of trouble can occur sometimes and in most cases it ends well. I suggest you to follow your surgeon's advice and keep your wound clean and covered. If you have any concerns, I suggest you to consult your plastic surgeon.
