Congratulations on your recent surgery. It is very early in your recovery process. Within the next 3-6 months your breasts will look more natural as your body accommodates to the new implants. This will give you that more natural look as they start to settle. I recommend seeing your board certified plastic surgeon for a follow up appointment and keep following their post-operative instructions.
Hello,Thank you for your question and photos. You are still very early post-op and the implants have yet to fully settle. It takes 3-6 months for the implants to settle into the pockets. As your body accommodates to your new implants, you’ll notice that your breasts will gradually look more and more natural. Over time, the breasts will soften and take on the shape of the implant. I'd recommend booking a follow-up appointment with your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to address your concerns. All the best.
Thank you for your question and congratulations on your recent procedure! 9 days post op is extremely early to be worrying about the placement and shape as the implant needs time to settle and you may still have a bit of swelling. Give yourself at least 3-4 months to fully heal and allow your new breasts to "drop and fluff" into their final position. Good luck and congratulations again!
Hello!Nine days is a short amount of time. The most important thing is to follow your surgeon's instructions. The implants will settle and need 6 months to a year. I would recommend you discuss your question with your surgeon. He/she may recommend you start massaging and/or using a band that can help push the implant down.Best of luck!
Based on your photos your implants are still a bit high in relation to your breasts. It is best to consult with your plastic surgeon but in our practice when we see this we recommend an upper elastic bandeau which can work a bit like braces do on teeth. Slowly but surely the near constant downward pressure of the bandeau helps bring the implants down to the lower portion of the breast such that there is a better relationship between the breast and the underlying implant. Best of luck to you.
TBean21I appreciate your concerns but way too early to worry. Your body needs time to heal and adapt to the implants. The skin and muscle over the implants must stretch a bit to allow the implants to settle into their final position. While your appearance will improve fairly quickly, don't expect to see your final result for at least 6 months after surgery. Good Luck!
Dear TBean21,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
It is typical that your implants will appear very high immediately after a breast augmentation since they have not had adequate time to "drop". Your implants can take time, often months, to settle to the ideal position. Some surgeons may suggest manual massage of the implants but it is best if you discuss this with your surgeon as each doctor has his or her own specific recommendations for optimal healing. Often the best advice is to do nothing while you allow your body time to heal from your recent surgery. The implants will gradually settle with time.
Hello dear!!Thanks for your question and provided information. You are still early on healing process. Right now you might have one breast bigger than the other, feel swollen and also have bruises, it is normal and can happen for the first 4 to 6 months, until your implants have dropped and settle in. Be patient, it is too soon to determine your final result. If the situation doesn't improve over time, I suggest you to follow up close with your plastic surgeon.Hope this is helpful. Good luck :)
You are still early in the healing process and what you are seeing may not be your final results yet. Breast massage is one of the few things you can regularly do to help relax the breast tissues. The implants will naturally drop in time as your body fully heals. Consult directly with your board certified plastic surgeon regarding post-op management as each surgeon has a different post-op protocol.
