Of course, distance photos do not permit a more accurate assessment. However, the under-eye bulging seen in the photos, particularly when smiling, may represent hypertrophy of the infraorbital muscles, often refer to as under-eye "jelly rings," owing to the resemblance in shape to the rounded, bulging characteristic of jelly rings. If this is indeed so, then a few microdroplets of Botox injected appropriately can help to diminish this and make them less prominent. You would be wise to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist injector. Best of luck.
Hello, what you are seeing is the muscle roll that encircles your eye expand as you smile. It becomes more pronounced with animation and can be minimized with Botox injections. There may be some small amount of darkening and shadowing to the lower eyelid skin that can also be addressed topically with or without filler. Please see an experienced oculoplastic surgeon for best results.
Based on the pictures you’ve included, I think your lower eyelids and mid face are just fine and you don’t need intervention.Generally, speaking in the youthful face, the lower eyelids should be snug with a tight contour, followed by plump fullness in the upper part of the cheek. With signs of typical facial aging, the two areas reversed and people develop fullness from fat pads, projecting or bulging in the lower eyelids, followed by loss of volume in the tear trough and upper part of the cheek. At some point, these issues may develop to the point where treatment is indicated but for now, I suggest not having treatments. For now I suggest wearing daily sunscreen, avoid excessive sun, exposure, avoid tobacco products, and try to keep your weight, lean and healthyBest,Mats Hagstrom, MD
