6 weeks post-op tummy tuck, red and itchy bumps around the incision line. Any ideas on what these might be? (Photo)

Thank you for your question and photographs.  It appears that you have had a breakout of a rash or folliculitis.  Though the bumps do not look overly concerning, speak to your surgeon about their preferred methods to have them heal.  This may involve an antibiotic or steroid ointment topically, or just maintaining the area clean with soapy water.  

Most of the time red itchy bumps this far from your surgery are a topical allergy.  Would check with your surgeon.  In our practice we would stop any antibiotic ointment and switch to either plain Vaseline or 1% Hydrocortisone cream.  If surgical glue was used, make sure you peel any last remnants off.  Benadryl orally at night can be helpful to sleep.If it persists and is worsening, occasionally oral steroids are necessary.good luck with your recovery

I see this kind of irritation at times following a tummy tuck.  I looks like some folliculitis or rash.  Be sure to discuss with your surgeon and keep them informed.  Most likely this will resolve on its own.  Keep the area clean and dry and avoid additional irritation to the area.  Best wishes.

It appears that you have some type of topical allergy. Usually I treat with topical steroid cream. Followup with your surgeon so that he or she can track your progress.
