Hello, I had a septo/rhinoplasty about 12 days ago to take out the dorsal hump, narrow the bones, reduce the size, and refine the tip. My nose still looks huge and with a bulbous tip and am really nervous that it won't change significantly from the way it looks now. Is it still very swollen? Will the side profile also shrink down a bit

At 12 days after the rhinoplasty, only about 50% of the swelling is gone, you will see an improvement as the time goes by, in averga after a month about 60% of the swelling is gone, and at 3 months about 80%, is most of the patients takes a full year to see all the swelling to go away. Be away from too much salt in your diet, as that increases the water retention and gives you more swelling on the face and nose.

Still very early! And I see an improvement even at this swollen stage. You need to wait at least 3 to 6 months for swelling to fully subside...

At this stage in your recovery, the nose is typically still very swollen. This will gradually resolve over the course of several weeks to months. All of this is expected as a normal part of the recovery process. Make sure that you follow up with your rhinoplasty surgeon throughout your recovery so you can ensure an optimal result.
