The 2 surgeries you are considering can easily be accomplished at the same time. It is safe to do and it will allow you to have a single recovery and will decrease your cost by avoiding a second anesthesia. While there may be slightly more swelling due to 2 operations close to each other, if post operative instructions are followed, the swelling is minor and short lived. See a board certified plastic surgeon for a consultation as to what would be best in your case.
Hello,We routinely do blepharoplasty and rhinoplasty simultaneously. In fact, I commonly have people who also have many other procedures at the same time and they can all be done safely together. We do these procedures commonly in a surgical center, though they can even be done in the office at times.Best regardsJeffrey Spiegel
I agree with my colleagues. In terms of the surgeries, it is not uncommon to perform both simultaneously.Furthermore, in terms of overall stress on your body, it is more ideal to receive one general anesthetic for both procedures at one time, and deal with one post-operative recovery period instead of two.Good Luck.
I have done this combination many times. Look atreviews and before and after pictures as well as credentials to selectyour surgeon.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA
Yes. If you are healthy enough to tolerate 2-2 1/2 hours of anesthesia then these procedures can be performed together. It is possible that your surgeon does not perform both eyelid and nasal procedures. In most cases, a facial specialist should be well versed in both rhinoplasty and eyelid surgery.
If the surgeon is comfortable and experienced with both procedures, there is no reason rhinoplasty and blepharoplasty can not be performed at the same time.
I can't think of a reason why you wouldn't have both performed at the same time. This is routine practice in most surgeon's hands.
In general, a blepharoplasty and rhinoplasty can be performed at the same time. If you want them done at the same time, best to go to s surgeon who can do both.
Yes, it is possible to have a rhinoplasty and blepharoplasty procedures performed with same time under one anesthetic. This will allow one anesthetic with one recovery period.
I very commonly do both procedures at the same time. Experience allows you to do it this way. Seek another consultation.
Hello valen123,Thanks for your question. The short answer is that a plastic surgeon can always choose not to perform elective surgery on you.Elective surgery is surgery that doesn't need to happen. Patients "elect" to have the surgery. Cosmetic surgery is elective surgery....
It is not likely that you damaged your nose with facial movements (sudden or not). It usually would take a pretty good strike to the nose in the early postop period to create any lasting damage. It just sounds as though there is some discomfort since you just had surgery and facial movements can...
Generally speaking, it can take 6 to 12 months to completely heal after surgery. Please keep in touch with your surgeon or his/her clinical team to discuss your ongoing concerns.
