Hello, Please I need your opinion drs, my original dr is overseas and currently not talking to him. I did my surgery 9 months ago, I immediatly noticed irregularities and deformaties in my body in different areas, now my main concerns is my inner thighs, the lumps are getting bigger and the pain is so sharp, and I noticed like 3 weeks ago that when I touche my inner thighs ( where the lumps and pain is ) it's just hot, it's hotter than all the other area in my body. what it could be?
Answer: 9 months post BBL and very sharp pain in my inner thighs - what can I do? Hello @dsds2020, thank you for your question. Depending on the surgical technique and approach, there may be some causes of inflammation for a period of time. There are generally predetermined times for a surgery. The early stages of recovery usually happen between the first and second months following surgery, while a full recovery can take up to eight months. The more technology used, the more quickly the tissues recover however it is important the expertise of the surgeon using this technology. To obtain more information and recommendations, it is best to consult one or more board-certified plastic surgeons. Best wishes! Alana Gonzalez MD, FACS.

Answer: Sharp pain Dear dsds2020, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Differential Diagnosis is important. Hi, thank you for your question and photo. The lumps that you show might be different things like lymph nodule (might be infected due to hot and pain), little skin abscess or furuncilitis. A doctor's examination and an ultrasound imaging (if necessary by doctor) will be helpful for accurate diagnosis. Your doctor then will decide if an intervention will be done (like removal of the nodule) or follow up with antibiotic treatment, or just follow up.

Answer: 9 months post BBL and very sharp pain in my inner thighs - what can I do? You need IN PERSON detailed examination by a boarded PS. Where do you live. Expect fees for second opinion consult to be $250-$500. Then if any treatment or injections or surgery needed there will be additional charges.

Answer: The importance of having surgical follow up. I continuously recommend patient not travel long distances for elective surgical procedures. People seem to not appreciate the importance of having in person consultations, the number of people who have issues after surgery, the importance of follow up visit, the number of people who end up needing revisions or that complications actually do happen. Your surgeon is responsible for your outcome and you are responsible for choosing that surgeon. No one can give you a quality assessment based on posting on real self. If you want a proper second opinion consultation then you should schedule that with a local board-certified plastic surgeon. For a second opinion consultations patients should come prepared with proper copies of before and after pictures and a copy of your operative report which should be available from your provider. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
