It seems you should see your plastic surgeon to determine whether surgery may be helpful. At this point, it would not be expected that it keeps trying to close. May be a small office surgery could fix the problem.

As your surgery was two years ago you may have a scar where the tissue is contracting. A revision to the belly button may be helpful. I encourage you to return to your surgeon to discuss your concerns and learn more about your options.

I'm guessing that you have a scar contracture, maybe a keloid, or maybe your surgeon just made the hole too small. The treatments for each of these possibilities is different.
