Are gel implants safe with a past history of morphea (guttate) (linea) (morphoea) lichen sclerosus?

Dear Captain,   Sorry for your skin and genital  problems, however, I do not believe that they will interfere with your breasts augmentation surgery. So far, after many studies and investigations, there were not any findings connecting  breasts augmentation with implants to auto immune diseases.    If you are concerned about silicone gel implants, you might ask your surgeon to use saline implants, which I use almost exclusively in my practice. I have been in practice for 30 years and performed breasts augmentations on thousands of patients , with excellent record and very high satisfaction rate.   If you are using the ' potent steroid cream' sporadically, you do not have to take any precaution, however, if you use it regularly , or over lengthy period of time, it will be wise on your surgeon's part to place you on Medrol dose pack after surgery, since your stress response might be impaired, due to the prolong use of steroids.                                              Best of luck,                                                                   Dr Widder    

In this type of forum, no doctor wants to tell you that gel implants are safe for you or not. All I can safely say is that to date, no one has demonstrated a worsening of an immune disorder by gel implants. Does that mean that it's safe for you, probably, but not definitively. Since you skin condition results in white plaques which can be in an area of trauma, I might recommend you discuss the incision placement in the arm pit. Axillary incisions are known to be quite inconspicuous, so if a discoloration occurs, it would be off the breast itself. I would discuss your concerns with both your dermatologist and a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck.
