How long after Botox for migraine should I get a massage? 3 weeks p.o.

Question

I get botox for chronic migraine and after my last set of shots I was doing well and then got a head neck massage about three weeks out. Know I’m finding that I am sore in my shoulder and my migraine has returned. Was that too soon. Does massage affect the botox?

The earliest recommended is 24 hours after. The massage three weeks later should not effect the botox at all. Good luck!

It is fine for you to get a massage three weeks after your Botox treatment.  Your Botox treatment results will not be impacted one way or another by the massage at this time.  See your injector for any concerns.

I advise my patients to not lie down for 4 hours after a botox treatment to reduce the risk of lid droop so for this reason I would wait 4 hours
