I’m 10 days away from my 3 month check-up. Everything has been healing fine until a few days ago when I started to feel a mild pulsating, pressure pain on the bridge of my nose. This has lasted for 3 days now and I’ve also noticed my nose is more sore/swollen than usual. I feel the pressure when I do something as simple as drinking water or speaking. Prior I had very little discomfort, this week I’m more sore/swollen and tighter all over my nose. Haven’t felt this much discomfort since month 1.

I think that you would be fine to use Breathe-Rite strips at this point in your recovery. I think that they will help with your breathing as the swelling goes down inside your nose and also help with the swelling on the outside of your nose.
I always remind my patients that a traditional surgical rhinoplasty is a major medical surgery that requires anesthesia. While each patient is examined and treated accordingly, there are always potential hazards, especially in cases where the patient is underweight or has other medical concerns....
Hello,Thank you for your question. Each patient heals in a different manner. Generally speaking cartilage healing may take 6-8 weeks, but the final result can be achieved in one year post operation. For more information please click on the attached link.Best Regards
