Hello,An areola reduction would be completed as part of a breast lift and not be charged separately. During a breast lift, excess skin is removed to allow the nipple to be positioned in a higher position while the breast is reshaped. Some of the excess skin that is removed is taken from the outer portion of the areola if it is large, and this reduces the size of the areola. Based on your photo, and providing you are in good health, you are a good candidate for a lift (including areola reduction), with or without a small implant. All the best to you,Dr. Nancy de Kleer
Hello, a breast lift operation typically involves reducing the size of the areola and lifting it to a higher position on the breast. I do not charge an additional fee regardless of the desired size of the areola and I think you will find that most surgeons in include the areola reduction in the overall fee for your breast lift surgery. However, you should always request a written quote for any procedure to ensure you know the exact cost beforehand. Thank you for your question.
Reduction of the areolas is part of a breast lift when necessary, because they have to be moved up anyway which involves some removal of skin around them.
The aerolas are reduced as part of all breast lifts and no extra charge for it. You also can have an implant placed at the same time. Discuss with your plastic surgeon. Good luck.
The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. The areolas can be reduced to the size you desire. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
Areolar reduction is user of the lift so you shouldn’t have to pay extra. If someone wants to charge you additional for areolar reduction, go elsewhere
Dear caitypea, the cost of surgery depends on a lot of factors (type of surgery, number of treated areas, anesthesia fee, surgeon, facility fee, city, etc.). It would be the best to visit or call plastic surgery offices and ask for a price.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Reducing the areolae is part of the breast lift or breast reduction and usually not charged extra when needed.
Interesting question. It is purely a personal surgeon's policy. I only charge 1 fee for lift/areolar reduction. Others un bundle the procedures. Best to virtual consult with.... Fees in the $8,000-$20,000 ranges.
Hi and welcome to our forum! In general, most plastic surgeons include areola reduction as part of the package price of a mastopexy. There is usually no separate charge.Best wishes...
The tape may be contributing to the problem, so I would give it time to see if it goes away. Listen to your surgeon.
Thank you for your question and photo. Yes, you certainly are a candidate for a lift without implants. This will tighten the skin envelop of the breasts, elevate the nipple on the chest and get the breast skin off the skin of the upper tummy. This elongates the torso and makes you look longer...
The bases of your breasts cannot be lifted, but you do have some sagging which can be easily corrected by removing the excess skin from the inferior incision.
