I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

Only after the period of time indicated by the surgeon who performed the surgery to reduce inflammation has passed will it be possible to determine whether a subsequent intervention is necessary to improve the results. The tape may be contributing to the problem, so I would give it time to see if it goes away. Listen to your surgeon.

Based on the posed photos you are recent from surgery? I see the excess residual skin/tissue flap. Without seeing before photos my guess is poorly planned surgery but not sure. Best to virtual consult with... I would allow healing for 3months then if still an issue revision operation.
