Is it recommended to do one mini under the chin in the center or do one on each side of the chin?

Hello and thank you for your inquiry. During consultation, your provider evaluates the area to determine where the fat begins and tapers off, this will vary from person to person. This will determine the number of applicators needed per each single treatment. Overlapping applicators is commonly practiced. I usually recommend a minimum of two treatments 90 days apart. We reevaluate 90 post 2nd treatment, to determine if further treatment is necessary. Best of luck.

The Cool Mini applicator is a wonderful treatment for submental fat. We typically treat each patient with two cycles, overlapping in the middle. Although, this is a case by case situation and sometimes one cycle is best depending on the patient. The amount of fat tissue also determines how many treatments will give the desired result. We've been having  great results with doing 2 cycles per treatment, and 2 treatments in total. This way we can sculpt the jawline and overlap in the middle to target where the most volume is. That being said, everyone's anatomy is different so the treatment will be tailored to your specific needs.

CoolMini is great for pinchable fat in the lower chin. The best part about CoolSculpt is that you can overlap your applications. The number of CoolMini applications is dependent on the individual neck fat anatomy. Thank you for your question! We will use one applicator in the center of submental region if it is a small pocket that does not require to be tapered on the sides and only fills up one applicator. We will use two applicators with overlap if it is a larger area of adipose tissue in order to taper the jawline. We combine our treatments with Velashape and Kybella to get phenomenal results.

Thank you for your question. To get optimal results, I would recommend 2 cycles with each treatment with an overlap in the center where the greatest fullness exists. It typically takes 2 rounds of treatment to achieve the optimal results. I had this procedure performed with very little submental fat to assess the degree of tightening and have been very impressed with the results. I recommend low intensity shock wave therapy (Z Wave) immediately following the treatment process. This helps to optimize the fat destruction and is much more comfortable than the 3 minute massage that is recommended.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
