Coolmini on chin and PAH?

The incidence of PAH is very low, about 1 in 2000 patients will develop PAH. I've personally never have had a patient who developed it. In regards to knowing whether East Asian females have developed it, CoolSculpt has not reported higher incidences in this demographic. The good news with PAH is that it is treatable with Liposuction. Best, Dr. Anil Shah

We are one of the busiest Coolsculpting practices in the state of Washington.  We have not seen PAH yet.  Our areas population is mostly white so our experience on East Asian women is limited 

We have been doing CoolSculpting for 6 years now and have performed thousands of treatments. We have only seen 1 case of PAH in our own clients and that was after an abdomen treatment with the older applicators. We have not seen a single case with the newer applicators on any area, including the chin. It is not impossible, but the risk is extremely low. We specialize in CoolSculpting in Los Angeles. It's a busy practice with many regular patients. We have not observed PAH (paradoxical adipose hyperplasia) develop in any of our patients, regardless of race or ethnicity. We believe that experience is key to avoiding these rare complications. Make sure the practice you visit is a reputable CoolSculpting practitioner with lots of experience in the procedure. We have been awarded Diamond Level Status by Zeltiq Aesthetics, the makers of CoolSculpting. I would recommend seeking a similarly certified practice in your area.  

Coolmini is a great applicator to treat submental fat (double chin).   We have treated many patients (male and females) of all ages and ethnicity and have not seen it yet. The incidence rate of PAH is .025-.03 % of the patients that get treated; therefore not common at all. We believe it may have been more commonly seen with the older applicators; however the new technology has delivered amazing results and these types of cases are not common at all. 

I have one case referred to me of an older Caucasian woman with neck PAH from coolmini. She is currently on my OR schedule for the near future. Its the only one I have seen or heard of
