What is the risk of getting PAH with the Coolmini on the chin area? Based on my research it seems like it mostly affects the abdomen with the old applicators, and middle-aged Hispanic males. If this helps, I'm Female, East Asian, 26, 5'7 and 140 lbs. Has there been reported incidence on chin and with East Asian females?
Answer: CoolSculpt and PAH The incidence of PAH is very low, about 1 in 2000 patients will develop PAH. I've personally never have had a patient who developed it. In regards to knowing whether East Asian females have developed it, CoolSculpt has not reported higher incidences in this demographic. The good news with PAH is that it is treatable with Liposuction. Answer: Coolsculpting and PAH We are one of the busiest Coolsculpting practices in the state of Washington. We have not seen PAH yet. Our areas population is mostly white so our experience on East Asian women is limited

Answer: PAH After CoolMini on Chin We have been doing CoolSculpting for 6 years now and have performed thousands of treatments. We have only seen 1 case of PAH in our own clients and that was after an abdomen treatment with the older applicators. We have not seen a single case with the newer applicators on any area, including the chin. It is not impossible, but the risk is extremely low. We have treated many patients (male and females) of all ages and ethnicity and have not seen it yet. The incidence rate of PAH is .025-.03 % of the patients that get treated; therefore not common at all. We believe it may have been more commonly seen with the older applicators; however the new technology has delivered amazing results and these types of cases are not common at all.
