At age 41 I had 2 vials of Sculptra with no issues. At 46 I had 2 more and developed a delayed reaction with burning and redness in my cheeks. Needed to be placed on steroids and the symptoms took a long time (months) to abate with lingering redness. I am now almost 49 and would like to try Voluma for joweling. I have had Juvaderm in last 2 years with no issue. How likely am I to have an adverse reaction to Voluma?

Bruising and swelling can occur after filler treatments. It can take up to two weeks for the filler to settle and for you to see your final results. If after that time you have concerns, visit with your surgeon for an evaluation.
I love Voluma and have fantastic results with it in the mid face. However, redness like you are describing is either an allergic reaction to something topical like the numbing cream if any was used or an infection. I would contact your treating
The distortion you’re seeking may be due to swelling. Swelling is common after fillers and typically goes away after a week or two. If you’re concerned, please follow up with your plastic surgeon.
