You are asking for too many procedures at one time. I would start off by doing your fat transfer and gluteal shaping. The next surgery I would do would be your breast augmentation tummy tuck. The last surgery I would do would be the thigh lift. Earl Stephenson, JR, M.D., DDS, FACS
It has been shown that surgeries can be combined and done at the same time safely. It is recommended that the total time in the operating room not exceed 6 hours in an outpatient setting. It may be possible that a tummy tuck, breast augmentation and BBL be done at the same time as they can be likely be accomplished in less than 6 hours. Adding the thigh lift is definitely pushing it, especially if there is only one surgeon operating. However, in my opinion, the best results come with staging the procedures. I like to do the BBL first, as I can liposuction your entire trunk and harvest the maximal amount of fat possible to transfer. Many times that transfer of fat includes some fat to the sides or the hips and buttocks area. So I ask my patients not to sit and to sleep on their bellies for at least two weeks to maximize fat graft survival. You do not want that pressure on your buttocks for the first couple of weeks after the fat transfer to maximize fat graft survival rate. When you do a tummy tuck you will be sitting and sleeping on your back in a flexed position which puts pressure on your buttocks. So to answer your question, it is highly unlikely that all 4 procedures can be done well within 6 hours total anesthesia time by one surgeon. I suggest you do the BBL and medial thigh lift first followed by the tummy tuck and breast augmentation a few weeks to a couple months later as these have the best post op positioning combinations. Hope this helps and best of luck.
That is probably too much even if you are healthy. Also, you will have to find a board certified plastic surgeon who is an expert at all of these procedures and can keep total surgery time under 6 hours.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA
Hello dear! Thanks for the question and provided information as well.Depending on your health, these surgeries can be done at the same time, but I recommend my patients to do it in two sessions, due to recovery and the time under anesthesia. l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know.Good luck :)
Thank you for the question. There are some procedures that can be combined but all the mentioned above will have to be broken down in two surgery stages.1.Tummy tuck, liposuction and fat grafting.2. Inner thigh lift and breast augmentation. ( this stage would really have to be evaluated by your PS and determine if your inner thighs will take a longer time, if this is the case then the breast augmentation would have to be done in a 3rd stage).Dr. Campos
Hello, Totally understand your concern, and probably you're asking because you've heard many surgeons say NO to this combination. They are all right. This is simply too many procedures, and even though many will argue that if the surgery doesn't endure more than 6 hours there is no problem, the trauma caused by this combination may indeed put your health at risk. So may advice would be: choose by priority or regions. Maybe BBL and TT could be a good combination, and BA and Thigh lift another. If you do not have much fat to harvest, then BBL and BA could be one stage (so abdominal fat can be harvest without risking blood supply for tummy tuck), and TT with Thigh lift on another stage. Wish you the best on your journey.Take good care of yourself, Dr. Fernandez Goico
I think combining all those procedures in one setting is not good. I think that doing too many procedures at one time could be unsafe. I usually do not perform BBL and TT at the same time becauase I liek to harvest fat from the abdomen to put in the buttocks and if a tummy tuck is performed at the same time, this might compromise the survival of the abdominal flap with wide elevation.
In my practice I would not offer all of these procedures to be done at the same time. Your risks would certainly increase and your recovery would a very unpleasant experience. Certainly combination procedures are performed frequently, however this combination is is simply too much to be done in one setting.
I would tell you that these are too many procedures to combine together and you would be at high risk for complications post-op. I would recommend discussing with a PS and breaking these procedures into at least 2 surgery sessions.
Multiple surgical procedures carry an increased risk of complications. Also one has to consider the patients own risks and recovery.Unless there are two or three surgeons to make the surgery time less, consider dividing the surgery into multiple procedures. That way also the surgeon does not need to run through all these procedures and concentrate on the fine details of each procedure.Samir Shureih MD. FACSsshureih@msn.com
Hello dear, thanks for your question and provided information as well.. This is the surgical procedure that revolutionized cosmetic surgery becoming one of the most performed cosmetic procedures. Subcutaneous tissue or fat is removed in order to contour the body in a way that is harmonious and...
Hi and thanks for this good question. 10.7 is definitely not an ideal level to undergo such a major procedure. It's good that you are taking iron and PUR-Absorb, I am not sure that you have enough time to get your level closed to 12 hgb. Your health and safety are of the utmost importance. I...
Hello dear! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. Based on your pictures, you are a great candidate for liposuction with BBL, and I think you'll get very good results. To determine the right amount of CC's to transfer in a BBL, an in-person consultation is in order, because...
