I'm 8 dpo for a TT, MR, BA with lift. My incisions seem to be doing well but I'm noticing redness and itching where my paper tape is applied. Any ideas for an alternative treatment with similar results? Thanks!

Answer: Wow-- you are sensitive! Wow-- you are sensitive! I would either not use any tapes at all, or a gel/ointment for scars. To get the irritation to settle down, you can try some benedryl cream. Good luck!

Answer: Skin sensitivity Thanks for the great question and I'm sorry you're having this problem. As the others have already said, tape sensitivity is very common. I put all of my patients on a silicone gel scar therapy program starting one week after surgery. The silicone gel is much easier to apply than the silicone sheets and patient compliance is a lot higher with using it. Best of luck and congratulations on your surgery!~Dr. Sieber
