I'm 38 and in good shape but still have a little extra weight to lose from the last pregnancy. (15 pounds) I'm wondering how much weight I should expect to lose from the liposuction during a mommy makeover. Also, if done by a board certified, experienced plastic surgeon, then how safe is a mommy makeover? Thanks!

Answer: Mommy Makeover Far more important than deciding if MM is for you is the skill and experience of your plastic surgeon. Choose your surgeon rather than the technique and let him explain why one technique may be better than another and if you need a tummy tuck. Many board certified plastic surgeons provide a free first time consult and you should take advantage of that! See the below link on some suggestions on finding the most qualified Plastic Surgeon for you!The chances of losing too much weight as a result of a MM are low. The main change will be in the shape/sizeof the parts you wish you change. Tweet

Answer: Mommy makeover A board certified plastic surgeon is the best choice to help minimize risk and maximize positive outcomes for your surgery. Read reviews and ask questions of surgeon to help you determine who is the best person to help you achieve your surgical goals. The mommy makeover procedures will help you to regain some of the shape that is changed through pregnancy, but it is not a weight loss surgery. You can anticipate losing a few pounds, but it is the difference in your overall silhouette where you'll see the biggest difference.
