Do I need an alar base reduction, weir excision or anything to correct my nose status post lip lift 8 months ago? (Photo)

You can see my nostrils and tip have been pulled down and the curvature of my nostril is almost gone. The tip is pulled down and is worse when I smile. Any suggestions?

Thank you for your question, Dominic26. you are in the very very early stages of your recovery. You should not evaluate your results but instead monitor your healing process. For example, notice how your swelling - which is causing this increase in base size - subsides over the next few days....

Alarplasty: weir vs sill excision (Photo)

The Weir incision line can be extended all the way to the sill. The nose can be reduced more than the vertical line you have illustrated by simply removing a larger wedge. It does not appear that a sill excision would be necessary and this should be avoided.

Can nostrils enlarge by blowing the nose after alarplasty?

Thanks for your questions and congratulations on completing your procedure.Blowing your nose probably will not cause your nostrils to enlarge at this point.The only way that could happen is if the incisions open, but most likely at this stage, you are probably okay.I hope this helps.
