Can I take doxycycline and spironolactone now and during surgery?

Spironolactone and doxycycline are typically not a problem for women seeking breast augmentation.Spironolactone is an antiestrogen and can cause breast tenderness in females.  Email or leave voice mail for your PS as he/she may have a difference of opinion.

Every surgeon has his or her own preference. Hi Peags!I can't speak for your PS.  We would let you take both because they do not thin your blood.  Be sure to ask Monday about this.  Be sure to tell you anesthesia provider exactly what you are taking.  On the other hand, since you just started, you could always wait till Wednesday to resume.  Good luck with your surgery!!Dr. Joe

I can’t speak for your surgeon, but those medications would be fine with me. In fact, doxycycline can be an excellent antibiotic for breast surgery as well. Be sure to list those medications on your medication list at the surgery center. 

Thanks for your question aboit your pending surgery. Those two drugs will have no effect on the anaesthetic drugs used nor the healing. Hope it goes well tomorrow.
