Would I be able to get a donut mastopexy? (photo)

Based on limited photo- you appear be a candidate for a mastopexy. I do not believe that a donut lift will give you the best result. I suggest that you seek an experienced Board Certified PS for in person exam

Donut mastopexy for me? I appreciate your questions very much and I even appreciate you posting your photographs even more. It takes a lot of courage to share on this website and I would like to answer your question as best as possible. Based on your photographs I do not believe that you would be getting the best results from having a donut breast lift. I definitely see a lot more extra skin in your photograph and so I would probably recommend an anchor pattern breast lift  if you were in my practice. However, photographs are not a great substitute for a real consultation with the physical examination and measurements. Generally speaking, if the nipples are lower than the inframammary line the patient will most likely need a breast lift. If the nipples are at or above the inframammary line we can generally get by with just breast augmentation depending on the size of the implant the patient wants. I often use an implant when I perform a breast lift because it provides more upper breast fullness after the lift.

Breast lift surgery aims to re-volumize the breast with either and natural implant or fat grafting followed by nipple repositioning using the lift. I prefer to use a vertical incision (lollipop pattern) breast reduction technique instead of the anchor scar pattern for more significant lifts. This reduces more noticeable scarring than usual. Mastopexy that requires less than 2cm of lift only needs a donut incision. Every incision is also closed in five precise layers without using reactive sutures that can cause inflammation and eventual scarring.

If you are considering a breast lift, you should consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options and make sure your surgeon understands your goals. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Based on your photos, you are a great candidate for a breast lift. I will suggest a lollipop incision, with no implants needed, and I believe you'll get very good results.
I recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon, to discuss the best options for your goals.

There are several variables to be considered when answering this question. It is always difficult to make a diagnosis based on photos alone, however, an augmentation with a smooth round silicone implant and a breast lift will achieve great results. When you meet with a board certified plastic surgeon, they will perform a set of measurements that will help determine what size of implants will fit your body and if a breast lift is necessary.  I hope this is helpful.
 

The type of mastopexy(breast lift) needed or required depends on the amount of breast ptosis(sagging/droopiness) present. Just as there are different stages of ptosis, there are different types of lifts. A face to face consult with a Board Certified Plastic surgeon is always recommended in order to have a thorough exam and personalized recommendations which may include the addition of implants or even fat transfer at the time of your lift. That being said, the donut lift is the most minimal of lifts. It will decrease the size of the areola and lift the breast, again just a minimal amount. So if what you desire is a super perky breast, I'm afraid it may not be possible with that particular lift.

Despite your concerns with more total length of scar with the addition of the vertical scar, the resulting shape and likely much better quality scars around the areola will leave you much happier for a very long time.  Based on my experience it is actually an easy decision.

Based on the information and photos you send us, you are a great candidate for a breast lift by inverted T technique. This procedure could give you a excellent results.  As you can understand studies and test are needed to see if you are clear for surgery but in general, if you seek the attention of a certified plastic surgeon, you should have a great result and a normal life.
