Pea sized lump formed under old liposuction incision site - is it old scar tissue forming?

It can be scar, tissue, recurrent fat (if you gained some weight), or worsening cellulite. Have to see and feel it.

You may have a small cyst that has formed in the scar tissue. Please let your primary care physician or surgeon examine you.

The bump that you describe could be scar tissue, but an evaluation is needed to confirm this. Meet with your surgeon for an assessment. She/He can let you know if anything further needs to be done to address it.

Hi ali7133, excellent question. It's impossible to answer that question without examining the area. However, in general, I would not expect scar issue to suddenly form after 5 years. If it's scar tissue-related, than I would expect it to form a lot quicker after the procedure. I wouldn't say it's more serious, but I would get it examined by a doctor. Hope that helps.

Your lump could represent scar tissue or some thing else.
If this is a concern I suggest you follow up with your provider.
It would be unusual for someone to develop a lump five years after liposuction that is liposuction related.
