I am 37 years old, 169cm and weigh around 75kg. I have lost 39kgs and am not left with much lose skin but I am very unhappy with how my stomach and thighs look. I’m booked in for upper and lower abdominal liposuction and thigh liposuction on Friday. What kind of results can I expect? Will I appear slimmer in general?

Answer: Expectations Thank you for your question. Liposuction will help slim down the area's that are being worked and help with a little bit of skin retraction. You may still be left with loose skin on the abdomen area. The only way to get that completely away would be a tummy tuck. The thighs will be shrunk down as well. I would suggest speaking with your Surgeon to help answer all your questions and give you their honest thoughts. Best of luck to you.

Answer: Lipo is good for fat removal, but does not remove skin Hi natalieelizabeth, Liposuction is a procedure performed through small skin incisions, whose goal is the direct removal of fat. The procedure does not remove skin, and as such it is most appropriate for women with good quality and elastic skin that will recoil when the underlying fat is removed. Yes, liposuction can make you look slimmer by removing the underlying fat. But you should discuss with your surgeon the expected result of your skin, as liposuction in the setting of poor skin quality can produce a "deflated" look. Hope this helps.
