Liposuction expectation - will I appear slimmer in general? (Photo)

You have about two liters of fat around your waist, so yes liposuction there would make a difference, although you have a little loose skin. On the thighs, I dont seem much fat bulging, just some loose skin. Liposuction there in your case wont improve it. I would not necessarily do it, or expect any difference there after liposuction.

Thanks for your question! Although liposuction is a small change on the scale, it will improve your shape and you will appear slimmer. However, looking at your photos, I think it would be a disservice to do liposuction to your abdomen and not your flanks. I think they will bother you more post-procedure. Additionally, it does appear as though you have loose skin on your abdomen and liposuction can potentially make that worse. Good luck!

Thank you for your question. Remember that liposuction only will remove fat but to correct the skin excess you must need abdominoplasty, and yes you will look slimmer than before.

Thank you for your question. Liposuction will help slim down the area's that are being worked and help with a little bit of skin retraction. You may still be left with loose skin on the abdomen area. The only way to get that completely away would be a tummy tuck. The thighs will be shrunk down as well. Liposuction is a procedure performed through small skin incisions, whose goal is the direct removal of fat. The procedure does not remove skin, and as such it is most appropriate for women with good quality and elastic skin that will recoil when the underlying fat is removed.
Yes, liposuction can make you look slimmer by removing the underlying fat. But you should discuss with your surgeon the expected result of your skin, as liposuction in the setting of poor skin quality can produce a "deflated" look.

You have developed an obvious degree of saggy skin on your abdomen and sides/lovehandle area so liposuction will only worsen the saggy skin you already have, because of deflation. No energy will tighten that saggy skin.
You are a perfect candidate for an Extended Tummy tuck, beautiful reconstruction of the belly button and moderate not aggressive liposuction to lower back and thighs to prevent saggier skin.

Hello @natalieelizabeth, thank you for your question. It depends on the surgical technique and the technology used by the specialist. For example, laser, Vaser or micro-air. In this way, using state of the art equipment and technology can be much safer than using conventional techniques. In some cases the evaluation prior to surgery shows whether or not the patient requires this type of technology. In other cases, it may be the physician's decision to use it depending on the experience he/she has with each piece of equipment. Patients who undergo sectorized liposuction must be chosen very carefully because the body is extremely intelligent and where fat has not been removed it tends to accumulate more. It is important to make a good evaluation prior to surgery where a surgical plan is agreed with the specialist taking into account the patient's expectations and especially if the skin is flaccid or there is excess of skin. You will appear slimmer in general in a garment and in clothes. The only part I may question is the excess skin that you will be left with from the liposuction of the tummy and if you have a separation of the muscles. Without examining how much skin you can pinch from the tummy, I am not sure if liposuction alone is the best possible treatment for you to get to the result you expect.
