Is it possible to get gynecomastia surgery after building muscles at the gym?

Yes you can have gynecomastia surgery after muscle building as the gland / fat lies on top and separate from the muscle and so should not affect the surgery.

Building additional muscle tone can be beneficial both before and after gynecomastia surgery.  In fact in my practice, patients are encouraged to restart their pre-surgery workout routine within two weeks after surgery with liposuction alone and approximately 6 weeks to 2 months after more extensive correction.Best wishes and good luck.

Thank you for your question. Yes, it is absolutely possible to build muscle at the gym then have gynecomastia surgery. Building muscle after the surgery, once fully healed, is also an option. It is important to note that gynecomastia is associated with anabolic steroid use. Gynecomastia surgery is one of my favorite procedures to perform simply because patient satisfaction after the procedure is exceptionally high. It is important to note that true  gynecomastia will not change in size from diet and exercise; I mention this because many patients who come to see me for consultation have tried to lean or bulk up to try to rid themselves of the gynecomastia, of course without success.
