I can not understand, when making an inquiry about Botox and or Dysport pricing, I was told $12 per unit for either or. It s my understanding that Dysport is a neurotoxin similar to Botox but cannot be directly compared in terms of units. 3 to 4 units of Dysport equals one unit of Botox, in general. So HOW do they justify charging the same per unit for 2 totally different products? I typically get Dysport, and with this pricing, would cost a small fortune!

Answer: It depends on how the office is mixing the product
Question your injector as 50 Dysport units in our office $4.60 a unit. It takes 2.5 Dysport units to equal 1 Xeomin or Botox unit. For example 50 Botox units equals 125 Dysport units … So I would say unless you have made a mistake; something is amiss.
Best of luck!
Hi Bbb03054,
I am Sarah, a medical assistant at Aesthetic Skin MD with Dr. Anil Shah in Chicago. I have read your story and I would advise you to start chewing gum to work your temporalis muscle back up from Botox injections. At the moment, the muscle is paralyzed from the neurotoxins, but...
Typically, only 2-3 Botox equivalent units (6-9 units Dysport) are required to lift the corners of the mouth. While this will seem relatively simple, it can result in asymmetric smile if the wrong muscles are injected, so please make sure you visit an experienced injector.
