I had Restylane and Dysport for tear trough correction. Way too much Dysport was used and I have bump under both eyes. I’ve gone back several times to be injected w enzyme to break it down ( and causing black eyes repeatedly) , didn’t affect it. it’s been 7 months- when will this start to wear down?
Answer: Likely the Restylane It is likely that it was the Restylane, and no the Dysport, that left the bump under your eyes. The enzyme will break down the hyaluronic acid present in the Restylane but will not affect the Dysport. It is possible that you may need a bit more hyaluronidase injected if you still have the bump. Another possibility is that it is a hematoma from the injection, which typically resolves in 2-3 weeks but can take more than a month to fully go away. If it has already been 7 months, it is likely that the product is still there. Most Restylane products will dissolve after 1 year, but some take up to 18 months to dissolve fully.

Answer: Bumps under eyes after injectable treatment: What you need to know Thank you for your question. The bulges under your eyes are unlikely to be caused by Dysport - the likely culprit is the Restylane. Additionally, there is no way to reverse the effects of Dysport. However, if it has been seven months, the Dysport has likely worn off and the Restylane is still causing the issue. To avoid problems like these in the future, I recommend you receive injections from a very experienced, qualified injector who is well-versed in the structure of the face, as well as which injectable treatments will give you the best results. Best of luck!

Answer: Improving Under Eye with Fillers (Belotero, Volbella, Restylane Silk)--add Fraxel, Microneedling/PRP These fillers are good for improving under the eyes, but keep in mind, a combination approach will give the most improvement. Fillers, lasers,(plasma pen,) and microneedling/PRP can improve under the eyes. My patients try to get non surgical treatments to avoid surgery. We use PRP and stem cells there often. I suggest consulting with an expert to develop a treatment plan best suited for your short and long term goals. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Dysport left me with bulges under eyes, how to correct? I'm sorry to hear of the issues you had after treatment. The problems that you mentioned are likely the result of the Restylane versus the Dysport. The Dysport effects should have worn off for the most part by 7 months. Hyaluronidase can be injected to dissolve the filler, or you can wait for it to naturally break down. Restylane in this area typically lasts up to one year.

Answer: Dysport The bulging is probably from the HA filler Restylane. HA fillers can draw water and give your eyes a baggy look. The trick is to use a thinner filler like Belotaro or Restylane Refyne and put a quarter of a syringe in each tear trough, then bring the patient back in 10 days and finish the procedure off. Hope this helps. JB
