I have a slightly weak chin, which makes it look like I have jowls/full face even though I am 36 and weigh 125 lbs at 5'6 height. I don't want a chin implant and was told I am not a good candidate for the cool mini. Can Kybella be used to address my chin/jowl issues?
Answer: Kybella Candidate Both Kybella or neck liposuction are good options and will improve the double chin. It depends on your lifestyle and personality which would be better for you. Kybella is best for patients that: 1) Do not want surgery 2) Are not surgical candidates 3) Not willing to wear a compression dressing around the face for 1 week 4) Patient- The results of Kybella will take months Kybella take 1-3 treatments every 6 weeks. Patient will develop swelling and possible bruising after each injection that may last a few days. The benefit of Kybella is each treatment is quick and completed in the office. Neck Liposuction is best for patients that: 1) Want a single treatment 2) One recovery time- Downtime for neck liposuction require wearing a wrap around face for 1 week. 3) Less painful 4) Quicker results 5) Cost is a concern Neck liposuction is a quick surgical procedure that can be complete while the patient is awake. It cost around the same price a Kybella and can be less in patients with heavier necks. The single recovery of neck liposuction may be a better option for some patients. I hope this helps.

Answer: Non-Surgical Chin Augmentation with Injectable Fillers -- Radiesse, Sculptra, Surgical Implants, See an Expert "A formal evaluation would be needed to determine what's best. Many of my patients try to avoid surgery, so we perform a non-surgical chin augmentation treatment with injectable fillers. Fillers like Radiesse, Voluma, BellaFill as well as Sculptra are injected into the area, improving the overall appearance of the lower face and balancing the jaw and lip harmony. We use cannula injections to meticulously contour and project the chin, soften the chin along the jawline and improve the chin crease. Implants are still a great option once you are 100% positive that you are ready for a permanent enhancement. I suggest getting a consultation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert; our practice is located right here in Los Angeles. Best, Dr. Emer"

Answer: Chin/Jowls and Kybella Kybella can be used to treat focal areas of fullness of the jowls and jawline. This can give a more contoured and defined appearance to the jaw area. For you I would also recommend chin augmentation with fillers such as Voluma or Restylane Lyft. Fillers can be very effective in enhancing chin projection. Please consult a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon experienced in Kybella and fillers. Best wishes

Answer: Kybella for face fullness and jowls due to weak chin? Thanks for your question. I think you need dermal fillers to improve your jowls and weak chin. Several fillers come to mind for this kind of work including Radiesse, Lyft and Voluma for the chin. I think you can also consider Lyft for the jowls and Refyne for the laugh lines.Have a formal consultation with an experienced injector and good luck,
