Kybella takes roughly 4-6 weeks to see the full result but in the clinical trials most patients required 4-6 treatments to achieve a satisfactory result. Many physicians sell kybella in a 2-3 treatment pack realizing that it takes more that one treatment for most individuals. If your 6-8 weeks after your first treatment and still hoping for more improvement I would see a board certified plastic surgeon and discuss a second treatment or submental liposuction.
"It takes a series of treatments to get good results with Kybella. Keep in mind, Kybella is good for dissolving the submental fat under the chin area while contouring the jawline and making the chin more defined, but a combination approach is needed to get the most improvement with non-invasive options. I recommend a combination approach with Thermage, Ultherapy, and Exilis. InMode FaceTite / AccuTite with VASER Neck Liposuction is the best option for contouring and tightening the chin, neck, and jawline area. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer"
Hello and thank you for your question. Kybella results are noticeable at four to six weeks. Multiple treatments are typically necessary and the results are gradual. After the 6 weeks, you could certainly receive your second treatment if you desire. I would recommend a consult with a board certified provider who can discuss with you the options and your desired outcome. I hope this information helps and best of luck!
After your first treatment of Kybella, it can take about 2-3 weeks for the swelling to go down. Full results are seen after about 8 weeks. Depending on the patient, we recommend a series of 2-3 treatments in order to achieve the best results.
It takes a good 4-8 weeks to see the effect of one kybella treatment. At that time, your provider can determine if you need a second treatment of kybella or if another procedure would produce beneficial results. Kybella dissolves fat under the chin. Some tightening of the skin does occur, but if the loose skin is abundant, thermi tight may be a good procedure for residual loose skin.
If you are referring to the swelling after Kybella, it can take 3-7 days for that to resolve. Use ice or heat to help along with Tylenol if you have discomfort. Good luck.
Thank you for your question! This can be typical and should resolve in the next several weeks as the nerve begins to regain its function. If you remain concerned, I recommend following up with your Doctor.
Hi 11Michelle11, I'm sorry but Kybella will be too painful and unpredictable to try on the lips. It could end up dissolving even the natural fat or produce asymmetrical results. Please don't go to a provider who will agree to do this. All the best,Justin Harper, M.D.
Kybella is not a treatment solution for hyperplasia related to CoolSculpting. Hyperplasia needs to be assessed by your plastic surgeon and liposuction needs to be performed to fully correct the issue.
