Does changing your side profile noticably change how your nose looks from the front? (Photo)

Question

The question says it all- Does changing your side profile noticably change how your nose looks from the front? If my nose gets any thinner it'll look strange on my face, but I really want to make my side profile shorter/a little more upturned. How would this affect my nose from the front? :)

When the profile is changed (and this is most often a reduction such as removing a bump) the bridge is almost always modified. It doesn't mean that the frontal view must change, but usually there are issues which should be addressed at the same time. When the tip is changed there are always changes to the front. For example when the tip is rotated, there is usually more nostril show. When the tip is de-projected, often the sides of the nose will flare out and make the base of the nose appear wider. When the tip is refined and no longer rounded on profile, on frontal view the tip becomes narrower and sharper.

Changing the profile will change the AP view at least a little bit. Much of this can be sorted out with video imaging.

It is important not to over-rotate the nose upwards, since more nostril show would be evident, and will look un-natural. The  slight dorsal hump can be shaved down, the bridge and tip narrowed, but all these results will be minimal at best

Changing your side profile will certainly have an effect on your frontal view although it may be a subtle change. Simulation software may help you in understanding what the changes may look like.Your nose however from your photos looks perfect!!! Thank you for the question and the photos.  Changing the side profile does not mean that your front profile will need to be changed.  Your nose size and appearance looks good already so I am assuming that what changes you desire would be mild. The answer is yes...but there are different reasons.  A full front view and side view photo would have helped. Your nose looks good from these photos.  If you have a small chin, your nose will appear larger.  This may be why you want something done to your profile...it may not be your nose at all.  If you place your finger from your lips straight down, your chin should almost touch your finger.  If it is behind, you may need augmentation to your chin with fillers or an implant.  The fillers or implant will project the chin forward to better balance the lower half of your face and give a better profile.  Again, photos would help.  If you do not want to post public photos, you can send them to our website for evaluation.
