April 2021 I underwent an LBL and Arm lift with Dr Bloom after losing close to 100kg.
After researching my options for quite a while for a plastics surgeon I kept coming back to Re. Instagram page.
So I made the call to book a consultation with Dr Bloom and Liv the lovely Receptionist that I have spoken to on so many occasions is so helpful and accommodating. I had my very first consultation during COVID and being interstate as well I wasnt able to travel to Melbourne in 2020, however, that was no issue the team they were able to set up a zoom consultation.

Right from the consult, Dr Bloom was very informative, kind, gentle and honest about my expectations for what I needed to have done.
When I finally got the chance to meet Dr Bloom he once again walked me through the surgery and the process of answering all the questions that I had with absolutely no hesitation.

I still have no words about how life-changing this surgery was for me, every expectation that I had has been exceeded the confidence that I gained from surgery which I have never had in my life. Dr Bloom is a miracle worker and I honestly can not thank him enough.

I highly recommend Re. to anyone in Melbourne or interstate looking for an amazing plastic surgeon and team that care about you.

Since my first surgery I have also had upper back lift and a breast reduction as well as a couple of revision.

Still to come is a thigh lift

I am 57 years old and I had two C-sections about 25 years ago. I have wanted to do this procedure for a long time and with the encouragement of my partner I decided to finally get it done. I am thrilled with my flat tummy. I feel like I am 20 years old and I will be able to wear a bikini again!
Dr. Bloom and his team have been amazing to work with. Dr. Bloom spent a long time with me during the consultation explaining the procedure in detail and the recovery. This was my only consultation and I was confident Dr. Bloom was very experienced and I would be in good hands. I was nervous the morning of the surgery, however the team at Epworth made me feel comfortable during the whole process.
The procedure went smoothly and when you wake up you will feel very tight and you will have the binder on. I had read a lot of the reviews and I had a couple of friends that had the procedure so I felt prepared for the recovery process. You need to be patient and make sure you have nothing planned for at least 4 weeks after the procedure. I am on week three and I feel better each day. I still cannot stand fully upright, but my tummy is so so flat that I am thrilled with the results and I can be patient for the fully recovery. My tummy is still swollen and I still can't do much.
Here are my tips for recovery: Rent a reclining chair. You won't be able to sleep flat in your bed and getting up is very tough the first week. I slept in the chair for the first two weeks and it's great because the chair tips you out so it is easy to get up. The second item you need is a shower chair, especially the first two weeks. You can't stand up straight but you will be able to sit down and shower. Get cough drops - you won't be able to cough, sneeze or laugh so have those cough drops handy.
Other things that are talked about on this forum that you may want to know about are drains, and pain management. I only had the drains for two days and there was no pain at all when the nurse removed them. The pain is very manageable with the meds from the doctor. Mostly there is a lot of discomfort that lessens each day. You feel incredibly tight the first week and you wonder if you will ever stand straight again, but you will!
I highly recommend Dr. Bloom and his team!

After 4 cesareans and dropping 15kgs of weight over the past couple of years I was terribly unhappy with the look of my abdomen. I had sought opinions from a couple of surgeons before seeing Dr Bloom, and was disappointed that these consultations were primarily with nursing staff who would not even be in theatre, and who spoke from a narrative provided by a Doctor. One Doctor even suggested I could have my procedure done under local anaesthetic!
Dr Bloom was a breathe of fresh air, and my appointment was with him personally, and I could ask questions and have them explained properly.
Do your homework ladies, and never settle for having this type of procedure done by anyone other than a qualified Plastic Surgeon like Dr Bloom. My experience here has been flawless and I couldn’t recommend a better surgeon.

I had my Mummy Makeover with Dr Richard Bloom in December 2019. After two pregnancies and losing 15kg I was left with a lot loose skin on my tummy. I've always had larger breasts, I was size 12E before babies. During my pregnancies they were huge and very heavy. After I lost the weight they where still big but deflated and saggy. I had constant shoulder and neck pain. I went to see Dr Bloom for a consultation and he recommended the Mummy Makeover as it would mean one surgery and one recovery. I am so incredibly happy with the whole experience at Re.Plastic Surgery. From my initial phone call to all the after care I have received. I cannot recommend Dr Bloom any more highly, he has changed my life.

I just thought I'd add some before and after pics to my review. I'm very happy with how my breasts have rounded out and how flat my tummy is now. Dr Bloom did a great job at keeping a good size for me as I wanter more of a lift than a reduction.

Richard was completely amazing. I have wanted a BA for the last 8 years, but was told in a consult in Thailand when I was 23 that I would need a lift. I was so shattered that I decided to not go ahead with it, as I was concerned about the scarring. I found Richard through Real Self a few years later and booked a consult. He was incredible!

One thing I recommend - just go with what Richard says to you. Trust him! He knows EXACTLY what he is going. I ended up with a bigger implant than I thought I would but the reaction from every single person has been - "they look like how your boobs are supposed to look!". Trust that he knows what he's doing, because my result is absolutely perfect. 

I love my boobs now and my only regret is waiting so long, and not doing it sooner. I have barely visible scarring, my follow up has been great and Richard was so lovely. I highly recommend him especially to any woman with saggy breasts, as he was able to help bring mine back to life without needing a lift. 10/10. If I ever want any surgery again, I will come back here.

I had lost a lot of weight over 55 kilos and wanted a doctor with a lot of experience in this procedure for lower body lift and breast lift. I had a massive overhang of skin which was removed over 7 kilos and my breasts drooped I couldn’t see my nipples and needed to be hidden in a crop top. I am 3 weeks post op all I can say is wow I can finally see my feet and lower areas my breasts are so perky still have swelling on body but that’s normal. My incision lines look so good healing well I still have a drain in which will be out Monday but it’s necessary for me I just pin it in my binder no issues with it . The care I received had been amazing dr bloom is fantastic and listens and the re nurses are amazing and staff at the practice are kind and helpful. I am 54 and was a bit scared at first but would do this again it’s so worth at any age to make life more comfortable without having constant rashes in skin folds and clothing wow no massive overhang to tuck in or breasts to fold up to fit into crop tops. Thanks dr bloom for changing my life and making me feel normal again.

I am now 4 months past my surgery and I could not be more happy with the outcome. Richard and his team flew past any expectations I had and smashed them out of the park!!
