Answer: Tear trough Hi @Earl. Juvederm Voluma is a very thick and heavy filler. Restylane and Belotero work great for the tear trough. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!

Answer: Tear Troughs Thank you for your question in regards to tear trough treatment. Voluma can be a wonderful product for treating the tear trough area. We use both Vollure and Voluma for tear trough correction. For very deep grooves you might need the lifting capacity of Voluma, but for less severe volume loss Vollure is wonderful. These two products tend to have the least amount of swelling compared to the other hyaluronic acid fillers available in the US, which is very desirable in this specific treatment area. To find out what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.

Answer: Voluma Too Thick for Tear Trough? Voluma Is Best for Sculpting Mid-Face Voluma is a thick, viscous hyaluronic acid based filler that is wonderful for creating full, smooth contours that replace volume in the face lost to aging. It’s wonderful for building up cheekbones, for instance, or even creating a chin augmentation. Voluma is not the appropriate filler for the tear troughs. There, you need something thinner and softer. Belotero or Volbella would be my top choices. Consulting a board-certified dermatologist will let you learn more about dermal fillers and how they can help rejuvenate your face without surgery.

Answer: Voluma to tear troughs Voluma is a beautiful option to enhance cheeks but to heavy a product for the tear troughs. It is better to use a thinner HA filler that will soften that area without creating a bag or a bulge. In our office we like Vollure or Volbella, depending on the thickness of your skin. Both products will last around 18 months in that area.

Answer: Voluma to tear trough? Thank you for sharing your question. In general Voluma is too thick of a product to place along the tear trough or rim except in the most hollow of patients. Thinner fillers such as Vollure, Volbella, Restylane and Belotero are typically better for the thinner skin of the lower eyelid. Hope this helps.
