Can I get my lips done without having that ugly curve on my top lip skin? (photos)

Communication will be the key to a successful procedure as this treatment can easily be customized to the precise needs of each patient as long as the injector knows what those needs are. It is also critical to find a board-certified, experienced doctor for your procedure that has the expertise to customize your treatment and produce a natural, beautiful outcome. The right provider, filler and filler placement should give you a better result the next time around.

An experienced provider can give nice, natural results with the appropriate technique and product. Unfortunately, you may need to have some product dissolved to get rid of the unnatural product remaining. Hope this helps!

Fillers are usually placed right under the vermillion border, and that's unfortunate, because in many patients, it creates an unnatural shelf.Lip augmentation with fat injection tends to bleed over the upper vermillion border creating a secondary shadow; we don't use that technique in our practice and prefer autologous fat fascial grafts (LiveFill) for that reason.  These can be placed without any pressure.There are many aspects to lip surgery, not just increasing volume, if the patients wants a natural, full look.  Ducky looks are out of favor this year...

I typically use Juvederm for my lip sculpting. There are two main focuses of lip injections, adding volume and actually sculpting the shape. Both involve injecting the filler in different areas of the lips and patterns.
I would recommend finding a plastic surgeon to perform you lip injections. Most of my patients have results that last at least 6 months.

Thank you for sharing your excellent question and photograph.  it appears that you could have a nice outcome with careful placement of dermal filler into your upper lip without creation of additional lines. I would see an ASPS board certified plastic surgeon in consultation to discuss the best filler option. 

Thank you for your question. I think that is definitely possible, depending on the experience of your injector. I would take some photos in of what you want so that your injector knows what you are looking for ahead of time.

It is definitely possible to fill the upper lip without creating a rolled ledge or the "duck" lip. The focus of your lip should be more in the body for more volume and pout but without an overdone look.
