Discomfort and lumpiness 2 days after fillers. Injector's office is not open for 2 weeks. Advice? (photos)

Evanthia 20 filler is a product that is only available on line from overseas sources. It is not even clear that this product is approve for the European market. They can be no assurance that this product is safe and not adulterated with potentially harmful materials including non hyaluronic acid fillers like silicone oil. It is not legal for a nurse to have an independent practice of injectables. In California, the law requires that a physician be present on the premises and perform a good faith examination before a registered nurse performs a filler or botox service under physician order. Nurse practitioners are permitted to have a more independent practice. Know who you are going to. I recommend reporting this injector to the California Medical Board. This is the unauthorized practice of medicine. They respond to consumer complaints. I strongly recommend to see a board certified dermatologist who practices cosmetic dermatology. They can provide the care you need for your issue.

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs.  I am sorry to hear of your difficulties after filler placement but rest assured these symptoms will all get better over the next 10 days.  It often takes up to 2 weeks for fillers to soften and the tissues to appear more natural.  In the meantime try reducing the swelling by using cold compresses to your lips and elevating your head at night with a couple of extra pillows behind your back.  You may want to also consider using Arnica Montana and bromelain as supplements.  Because I do think that the lumps are sizable, I would apply a small amount of pressure between your thumb and index finger to the deposit to help it soften and dissipate.  Hang in there!

It’s hard to evaluate you lips only two days after filler injection. It’s normal to have swelling . I would gently massage the area in question. Cool compresses and wait a week or two. Once the swelling is down a proper exam can be performed to see if there are any problems.
